Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, has officially announced plans to construct a massive supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee. The announcement was confirmed by the Greater Memphis Chamber, which stated that xAI will be building its facility in a former manufacturing plant. According to reports, the supercomputer will be one of the most powerful in the world upon completion, leveraging tens of thousands of Nvidia’s highly sought-after H100 GPUs to handle the immense computational demands of training and running next-generation AI models.
