The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially launched “Accelerate AI,” a strategic national program aimed at supercharging its domestic artificial intelligence ecosystem and establishing the nation as a global leader in the field. The initiative, spearheaded by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is a core component of the ambitious Vision 2030 plan to diversify the country’s economy beyond oil.
“Accelerate AI” is designed to identify and cultivate high-potential AI startups, providing them with critical resources to scale rapidly. Selected companies will receive intensive support, mentorship from industry experts, and access to significant investment opportunities from both public and private sector partners. Furthermore, the program will offer participants access to powerful computing infrastructure and valuable, anonymized government datasets, creating a unique environment for developing and training advanced AI models.
This program aims to create a robust pipeline of AI-driven solutions tailored to address key national priorities in sectors such as healthcare, energy, logistics, and the development of smart cities like NEOM.
